AGM 2008 The Annual General Meeting of the Yeovil Branch of the UK Independence Party was held on Saturday 2nd February 2008 at 11.00 in the Portman Arms, East Chinnock. See pictures. Eric Edmond was elected onto the Committee and was also adopted as the Prospective Parliamentary Candidate. He will take up the position of Vice Chairman. Doreen Bentley takes on the role of Membership Secretary in addition to her job as Secretary. Unfortunately Mr & Mrs Thompson-Hughes have had to resign from the Committee due to personal commitments. ____________________________________ District Council Elections 3/5/07 UKIP share of vote Chard Avishayes 18.6% Hamdon 11.0% ------------------------------------ AGM 27th Jan 2007 This was the final AGM to be chaired by Neil Boxall who has chaired the branch since its formation in the previous millenium. Regrettably he has had to stand down due to moving to a new job in Wales. Our loss is their gain. Ken Perry was elected as the new Chairman, Dave Adams as Treasurer and Doreen Bentley as Secretary. Ron MacDonald and Arthur Hamlin were elected to the Committee. ____________________________________________
